A downloadable sandbox for Windows and macOS

Have you had some matchsticks or counting sticks that you played with when you was a kid? Or perhaps you drew lines that resemble walls in your notebook while you were bored in school? PlayWalls is a nostalgic sandbox game, where the main thing is placing/breaking different types of walls and cells. There's also an infinitely, procedurally generating world which you can explore wherever you like. The rest is your story.

Controls

W A S D or arrow keys to move around.

Left mouse button to place a wall/item (if you're holding a deleter, it'll delete an entity your cursor at).

Right mouse button to break a wall.

Middle mouse button to change wall orientation. (from horizontal to vertical and vice versa)

1 2 3 4 5 to change the selected slot in your hotbar.

I to open/close inventory/wall list.

P to open free look camera.

While in free look camera:

W A S D or arrow keys to move the camera around.

Mouse scrollwheel to zoom.

Hold shift to move 4 times faster.

To exit the game and save - "Save and quit" button or "Esc" is recommended.

Install instructions

If you're on Windows

  1. Download a build WITHOUT "macos" tag.
  2. Execute the archive.
  3. Run "PlayWalls.exe"

If you're on Mac

  1. Download a build WITH "macos" tag.
  2. Execute the archive.
  3. Run "PlayWalls.app"
  4. If you get an error, follow these instructions:
